Getting to Know CVCJ, sponsored by our Whiting Office

All members of the community are invited to a special program in the Community Room at the Foodtown Shopping Center, Thursday, August 19th from 10 a.m. – 12 noon, presented by the Whiting Office of Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey (CVCJ). Anyone interested in services to homebound individuals or in volunteering to support them should attend this valuable program. This free presentation to explore the many free services available through CVCJ to the frail elderly homebound, including the Alzheimer’s Respite Care Program, providing support and relief for families caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia; Canine Companions, a Pet Therapy program where the canine and handler provide a friendly visit bringing unconditional love, companionship, and comfort into your home; Caregiver Kids, an intergenerational program teaching sensitivity and awareness to enhance understanding between our elderly and today’s youth. In addition, Mr. Robert Novy, Esq. Elder Law Attorney will provide information on current Elder Law facts. Registration for the program is not required, but encouraged!
