There Are Many Ways You Can Get Involved

Here Are A Few:

• More than 1,100 volunteers shop, drive to medical appointments and make friendly visits.
• Caregiver Kids receive Aging Sensitivity Training and participates in intergenerational programs.
• The Multicultural Outreach Program, coordinated by our bilingual staff, identifies and serves people who might not think to ask for help or face a language barrier.
• A special Alzheimer’s Respite Care Program allows Caregivers few hours of relief from their daily burdens

Who May Volunteer

• Caring men and women who have the use of an automobile, a valid New Jersey driver’s license and state required auto insurance.
• People with a genuine concern or the elderly, and will respect their privacy.
• Those who accept people and have the ability to work with individuals from many different backgrounds.

How Volunteers Benefit

• To be personally involved in helping others is a heart-warming experience, one that makes you feel good about yourself.
• Being a volunteer is a growing and rewarding opportunity. It provides a sense of accomplishment in knowing that your efforts have made a significant difference in the lives of others.
