Harvest of Hope Gala Honors Community Leaders
Almost 250 supporters of Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey (CVCJ) gathered on October 25th at The View Restaurant, Eagle Ridge Golf Club, Lakewood for the 19th Annual “The Harvest of Hope” Awards Reception. The event celebrates individuals, businesses and community leaders who have made outstanding contributions in support of senior citizens in Ocean County.
Receiving the Philip Rubenstein Award was William Janson, CEO of The Pines at Whiting; Robert C. Novy, Esq, Managing Partner of Novy & Associates, LLC was presented the Hope Award; and Sister Rosemary Jeffries, RSM, Ph.D., President of Georgian Court University was honored with the Civic Leader Award. All three honorees were recognized for their unselfish giving of their time, treasure and talent to further the mission of CVCJ.
Shawn Michaels, Co-host, WOBM’s Ocean County Breakfast Show was the Master of Ceremonies. Also participating in the festivities and making presentations to the honorees were Jane D. Maloney, Director of the Ocean County Office of Senior Services; Eric Ghaul, Director of Resident Services at The Pines at Whiting; Vito Nardelli, President, OceanFirst Bank; Msgr. Casmir Ladzinski, Pastor, Sacred Heart Church, Bay Head.
