"Service Impact Study set with Rutgers"
How Do You Measure Impact?
Everyday in our office we receive letters and calls telling us that our volunteers are “angels” and stating “I don’t know what I would do without you”. What we have never done though is concretely capture the difference we make in people’s lives and how we allow those we help to remain independent and in their homes.
Well – that is about to change through a new, exciting partnership with Rutger’s University. This past summer, a group of staff, volunteers and Jane Maloney, Director of the Office of Senior Services have been working along with Joanne Kinsey, Assistant Professor at Rutger’s University to develop a survey to collect data that will measure our impact.
The survey will be given to approximately 345 of our carereceivers who have been receiving our services for five years or more (some for 17 years!). Data will be evaluated by Rutger’s University and we will be able to use this information when we apply for funding and to better meet our receivers needs.
If you would like to become involved in this project and help us make phone calls, please call our office and ask for Colleen at 732.505.2273, ext. 205 or email info @caregivervolunteers.org. Look for results in an upcoming newsletter!
