Newswomen Join Fashion Frenzy as Event Honorees
Ocean County - Get ready for a fun filled night of FASHION! Thursday June 23 marks Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey’s (CVCJ) 4th Annual Women of Distinction Fashion Show & Gift Auction. Meet our Women of Distinction Honorees, CBS News Reporter Magee Hickey and ABC News Anchorwoman, Diana Williams. Doors open at 6 p.m. at The Quality Inn, 815 Route 37, Toms River for Gift Auction preview and the Fashion Show begins at 7:00 p.m. Guest Emcee for the event Dianne DeOliveira, The Breeze Radio, will provide commentary on the fashions provided by TULA, "The Boutique" at The Grove West, Shewsbury.
"We are thrilled to be honoring both Magee Hickey and Diana Williams at our event this year," said Sara Farley, Director of Development for CVCJ. "Both Magee and Diana are wonderful role models for all women and Diana has shared her personal appreciation for the assistance all Caregivers provide to families of the frail elderly.” said Farley. Ms. Williams had firsthand experience caring for both her father and father-in-law. Dianne DeOliveira, guest emcee, is a previous event participant having modeled in 2010.
Successful professional women in various industries including retail ownership, broadcasting, public relations, finance, and health care were nominated by their peers to model in the fashion show. This year’s event models include Isabella Basile of Solo Bella, Jackson; Melissa Clark, The Pines at Whiting; Donna Flynn, Ocean County Office of Public Information; Sally Glick, Sobel & Co., LLC; Laura Nitty, TD Bank; Pat Robertson, CVCJ Volunteer; Betty Rod, Latinos Unidos de New Jersey; Pat Scimeca, Patti's Pretties Unique Jewelry; Nina Siciliano, B98.5 Radio; Catherine Wells, Wolff Samson.
The $35 ticket includes Fashion Show, Dessert Reception, Gift Auction tickets, and Door Prizes. Assigned seating is limited, and tickets must be purchased in advance of the event through CVCJ at info@caregivervolunteers.

Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey (CVCJ) is a non-profit interfaith agency whose mission is to assist the frail and homebound elderly with everyday tasks enabling them to remain independent in their own homes. All services provided are free. Over 1000 volunteers assist more than 2000 senior citizens each month with transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, relief for Alzheimer’s disease caregivers, reassuring telephone calls, and friendly/pet visits.
