St. Peter's, Point Pleasant Beach joins Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey
St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in Point Pleasant Beach has expanded their ministry to the elderly and joined the Interfaith Coalition of Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey (CVCJ). As a coalition member, St. Peter’s joins 62 other congregations in
Volunteers provide rides to doctor’s appointments, do food shopping, make a friendly visit or phone call, all for free, out of the generosity of their hearts. Volunteers also provide relief for families who are themselves caregivers for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
“We are very excited to welcome St. Peter’s into our coalition”, said Mary O. Malagiere, Manager of Volunteers for CVCJ. “St. Peter’s has a wonderful ministry already and by working together I know we can help many more frail and elderly living right here in the Shore community.”
